Fire Fighter of the Year – This award should go to a fire fighter within our organization that strives for knowledge and training, is willing to take any task and complete it both on and off the fire ground, Operates with regard for the safety of all and shows initiative to help their peers and the good of the department.

 

Emergency Medical Technician Of the Year – This award should go to a person of any license level that exhibits care and compassion for their patient and their crew. Strives for knowledge and training, is willing to take any task and complete it both on calls and off, operates with regard for the safety of all and shows initiative to help their peers and the good of the department.

 

Recruit of the Year – This award should go to a person that is new with in the last year to any division of our department that displays professionalism, dedication to our profession, their training and education, and the good of the department.

 

Officer of the Year – This award is designated for a line officer, Captain, Lieutenant or Crew Chief that displays the qualities of leadership, initiative, and loyalty. This officer ensures that their subordinates are trained, well rounded, work as a team, and maintains a positive and safe environment.

 

Administrative Service Award – Eligibility for this award is for any member or our department. To qualify for this award an individual must be outstanding in their field, exhibit those qualities and personal traits that enhance and compliment the goals and objectives of Standish Fire-EMS. Loyalty, initiative, cooperation, and a desire to improve the department and self should be evident. The ability to interact with co-workers and the public should be considered.

 

Award of Appreciation – Eligibility for this award is for any person or organization that has contributed to our department and whose contribution has enhanced the professionalism, production, safety, and effectiveness of our agency.
